Fun and Connection

Playgroup at Berwick Church of Christ is a fun, vibrant space where little ones can play, explore, and make new friends, while parents connect and build community too! We create a safe, caring, and joy-filled environment led by a friendly team who love seeing families feel at home.

Each week is packed with fun activities like craft, painting, dress-ups, outdoor play, playdough, and music. There’s always something to spark imagination and smiles!

We run during Victorian school terms (with a short break at the start and end of the year).

If you’d love to join the fun, simply fill out an Expression of Interest form below. We can’t wait to welcome you!

A young blonde girl with blue eyes and freckles, wearing a pink long-sleeve shirt and a star-patterned apron, is looking upward while holding a paintbrush in her right hand in an art classroom. In the blurred background, other children and adults are engaged, and there are colorful walls and shelves.
A young boy with blonde curly hair and blue eyes smiling while crawling on a blue padded surface with colorful play equipment in the background.
A young child with curly dark hair sitting at a table, looking upward with a happy expression. The child is wearing a beige sweatshirt with a bear face pattern. There are some blue modeling clay or playdough in front of the child on a green table.
A young child with light brown hair, wearing a pink hair clip and colorful apron, is smiling and sticking out their tongue while painting with a brush on paper.

My name is Sue Nicholls, and I oversee the Playgroup Ministry, a role I have held for many years. I work with some fabulous volunteers who help to run the groups and make families welcome. I started my playgroup journey as a mum in the playgroup with my own three children, now young adults, and I really appreciated the caring environment. It was a natural progression for me to “give back” and get involved in making a playgroup happen for others once my children were all at school.

We know that young families are often looking for fun and social connections for their children before they commence the formal learning environments of kinder and school. We offer a simple program with plenty of time for children to explore toys, equipment, and activities, and for adults to make connections and even have some “downtime” while their children are happily occupied.

Thanks for looking at our webpage and getting an idea of what we do. If you are interested in joining one of our groups, please complete the “Expressions of interest” form (or you can contact us by phone or email if you prefer). We hope to find a position that suits you and your family.
