In a season where waves of lockdowns can present a daunting challenge. If we view it as robbery of freedom, we move one step closer to victimhood! That is a state of being no-one enjoys. In renewing my mind through the question “What can God do during a lockdown?” I found many uplifting experiences referenced in scripture that relates to being locked down:
The epistles to Ephesus, Phillipe, Colossae and to Philemon were all written from prison
The disciples’ faith was confirmed, commissioned, and empowered in a lockdown (John 20)
The prophet Jonah was redirected towards God’s will in a lockdown (more like a fish’s belly)
Joseph’s destiny was taking a huge step after spending time in a pit (Gen 37:28,26)
Daniël had supernatural protection during a lockdown (Daniël 6)
The list goes on and on… One of our greatest dangers is not embracing the opportunity of God doing something special for us in this season. It may be a bend in the road, but it is surely not the end in the road. Let’s live from our deeply rooted relationship with Christ and be fruitful in this season! His Spirit can fill you with life and peace while in this lockdown:
New series | Fruitfulness
'The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. '
Romans 8:5-6 NIV
Fruitfulness in spite of the mental barrage launched at us by anxiety, bitterness and grief in this season is possible. We have seen so much heartache through this pandemic - from weddings postponed to people missing out on loved ones’ funerals. How can we make the best of this very, very uncomfortable season? It starts with having a grip on how Christ is our reference for life and applying the guidance he has given us in his word on these issues. We expect this series to be mostly online… so diarise to join us on Sunday mornings at 10am for this. Should gatherings be permitted we will inform you through YouTube
, Facebook, Instagram
and the blog
as to how we will move forward.
You can watch live stream this Sunday via our socials.
Due to the impact of the lockdown we could not be onsite to do the commissioning the way we wanted to. We will now have the Commissioning Sunday on the 12th of September. It will be a very inspiring and exciting experience!!! Make sure you don’t miss it… and bring your colleagues and employees with you for a very special and empowering experience!

Matthew 25:40 NIV
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
We've entered another lockdown in our beautiful state of Victoria and there appears to be uncertainty as to when it will end. We know that this is a season where there are many people struggling to make ends meet. As a church, we want to be available to meet the needs of our community, especially during these times. As such, until further notice, the Food Pantry is available on Tuesdays from 10:30 - 12:00 noon operating in a drive-thru fashion. Please advise friends, family and people in need who would benefit from this community service. Let us be a light in this pandemic darkness! Blessings, Pastor Michael
